A simple solution to a (sweaty) problem.
Marketing news and tips for the week of April 22nd, 2024
I love grip socks. They have been a gamechanger for me. I no longer fear going to Pilates. I used to spend each class I went to worried that my feet were going to slip and slide all over the place.
Yes, I have sweaty feet. Anyone else?
And the addition of grips on the bottom of socks took the fear away.
Such a simple solution to a problem I had (and others have too).
The simplest things often are the ones that make the most impact.
Now, what simple product or offer have you been thinking about that could be the ones your community loves the most?
Something (else) to think about this week š”
My 9-year old daughter has started to get into āskincareā. Yes, she has been influenced. But thankfully she has a mother who is also into skincare and knows that young skin should not be using certain products. However, I was curious. Are there any kid-friendly products that would give her the illusion of having a routine but still be safe?
So, I searched on Sephora.
Hereās what came up when I searched āskincare for kidsā.
Drunk Elephant and Glow Recipe were in the top 10 results.
The moral of this story? Be careful what you search for and donāt take everything at face value.
Social media news roundup for the week š°
LinkedIn is testing a premium company page option.
Meta is deploying its chatbot across its most popular apps, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. They really want you to stay in their world.
Threads ads could be on the way which may make businesses happy.
TikTok notes app is available in Canada, but are people too tired to test it out?
PS: Taylor is now on Threads and maybe could be just what the platform needed? What do you think? Mosseri seems excitedā¦
Something to do this week
āYou donāt need the best gear in the world to get results.ā - Rework book
Using better equipment and fancy tools arenāt going to get you better results.
This week focus on what matters, instead of the things that may be distracting you (from creating). You donāt need a better video editing tool, camera or social media management tool to do what you want to do. Keep it simple.

Something to write about this week āļø
I recently made the decision to work with a new coach to help me work through some things that I need to figure out in life. I first heard her speak at the Gather Society event I co-hosted in February and something felt right about working with her. This weekās something to write about was inspired by her and her upcoming podcast episode.
What can you create in one year? Where do you hope to be this time next year?
If you get a chance tune in tomorrow to hear the āone year laterā women in business stories.
And just because you made it this far ā¬
A trait I have now passed down to my kids. In this story Iām the āmy tootsies canāt be containedā.
