We know the term: "Don't judge a book by its cover," and yet, we tend to stay with the surface without questioning the content. It's okay to judge and then still get the book, read the post, and get to know that person, even if the surface doesn't represent our expectations. We might be able to learn something new about the person and ourselves ;).

It’s so funny how most of us work to teach our kids not to judge based on appearance while we instinctively do it too.
